building in the wind

a new structure comes together in a moment
and all goes well for awhile
but construction will have it's moments
not everything happens with a smile

without much structure the wind blows
not much to hold onto the walls go
definite disaster after the wind throws
everything in pieces before you know

repair is first in builders thoughts
there was so much there to gain
but structurally took too many shots
so starting over is clearly in vain

holding up in wind needed more time
holding up in wind couldn't happen yet
a new building will be another's crime
a new building will be another's debt

and so it is

time has come and gone
a new song but still the same
yet it was still overcome
and once again i am tame

easily stuck on repeat
similar steps with my feet
not dancing to that beat
looking to try a new seat

learning from all songs sung
avoiding the notes that came
accepting new ones that begun
harmony is the new game

some new music around me
good choices are there
joyous singing is what i see
with a new tune in the air
